Kelly Kresconko
Art has always been at the center of my world. I love creating pieces that tell a story — whether through paint, design, or now, tattoos. I’m passionate about blending creativity and connection, and I love being part of the transformation that happens when someone gets a new tattoo. Beyond tattooing, I’m excited to help shape the atmosphere and vision of Obsidian Orchid Tattoos and Piercings as both shop manager and artist.
My Story
While I’m newer to the tattoo world, I’ve spent over 20 years immersed in the arts. I hold an associate degree in Graphic Design from Villa Maria College and a Bachelor’s in Drawing and Painting from SUNY Fredonia. My career has been a mix of art and compassion — from healthcare, where I learned about infection control and behavior management, to teaching art classes and working with dementia patients through the Memories in the Making program.

Later, I shifted into creating licensed artwork for Viacom, Nickelodeon, and MTV, while also showcasing my paintings locally — including a solo show at Good Charamel Records, sponsored by Music is Art, where I’ve been a proud contributor for over a decade.

Outside the studio, I’m a death doula, a proud auntie to Freya, and a devoted fur mom to my two cats, Echo and Arcana. I’ve been vegan for 15 years and have a deep love for all living things — both the earthly and the ethereal.
